Leave the Driving to People Mover!

Looking for an easier way to travel to the Bear Paw Festival in Eagle River from Anchorage? Leave the driving to People Mover. With three routes to choose from, there is sure to be a convenient time and pick up point for you.

During the weekdays, Route 15 departs City Hall between 44 and 51 minutes past the hour, and turns into Route 77 at the Muldoon Transfer Station. Return trips on Route 77 from the Eagle River Transit Center generally leave at 30 minutes past each hour to Muldoon and turns into the Route 15 as it continues into downtown Anchorage.   Route 102 travels Between Peters Creek, Eagle River, Downtown Anchorage and the Providence/University area during peak travel times. On Saturdays, Route 15 departs City Hall on the (even) hours beginning at 10:00 a.m. and turns into Route 77. Return trips on the same route from the Eagle River Transit Center generally leave on the (even) hour to Muldoon and turn into Route 15 as it continues into downtown Anchorage.

Purchasing a $4 Day Pass for adults and youth would avoid paying two fares, which are required when transferring from Routes 15 to 77. Day Passes for seniors age 60 and over and Medicare card holders are $1.25.

Youth ride free every Thursday throughout the summer and seniors ride free every Wednesday – all year long.

Shuttle About the Festival!

Forsythe Transportation will provide free Bear Paw Shuttle service within downtown Eagle River on Saturday July 12th.  You may park your car at VFW Post 9785 at the South end of town or at the Eagle River Fred Meyers at the North End of town anytime between 8am and 5pm Saturday only. 

Between 10:45 and 12:15 all access into the Festival area will be restricted for the Bear Paw Classic 5-K Run and the Bear Paw Grand Parade.  Shuttle service will resume following the parade.

Note... if parking at Fred Meyer, please use the far north parking lot -- and look for the Bear Paw Shuttle Sign!!!

Parking is always a challenge within the Festival area... Please try to use the shuttle on Saturday and be courteous to our business owners who are trying to help their customers through the hectic days of the Festival!
